As a result of the continuous civil war and unrest, many children have become orphans or have be separated from their familiy during the fighting.
About 250 children between 5-20 years old have found a temporary home at "The 11th November School" on the outskirts of Luanda, where they can stay and continue their studies.

The Methodist Church provides a few basic facilities like food, tents and medicine to some 400 street children who live on the beach in Luanda.

In order to provide basic skills to some of the many young people who enter the workforce every month, the Methodist Church organizes training, such as typing.
